Propane Coop: "ANY INVOLVEMENT WITH A COMMERCIAL BUSINESS OR ENTERPRISE IS COMPLETELY OUTSIDE THE CONFINES OF SONS IN RETIREMENT." THE FOLLOWING IS PROVIDED SIMPLY AS INFORMATION AND IS NOT IN ANYWAY CONNECTED TO , OR ENDORSED, SONS IN RETIREMENT. Below are the latest results on the proposed propane coop. Ferrell Gas and Kamps gave us the best prices with OPQ and AmeriGas as a distant 3rd and 4th, All prices were based on San Francisco Bay Area rack price which is what all suppliers pay for their propane and as of this morning (Thursday 9-3-09) was 73.5cents a gallon. To this each supplier adds their desired margin plus transport coast to get it from Martinez up to their local supply plants. Ferrell Gas operating out of Elk Grove was lowest with a price of $1.32.5 cents a gallon. Kamps operating out of Red Corral was next with a price of $1.35.5 cents per gallon. OPQ and Amerigas were 10 cents a gallon more. The Ferrell and Kamps prices will be a significant savings over what we are paying now. The Coop price for Kamps will be a lot lower than their current customer pricing and will replace the various discounts, senior, meter on tank, etc. they now offer. All of these prices will be verifiable. Kamps is local and the only company that offers meters on the tank but their annual tank rental if higher $66 for a 250 gallon and $90 for a 500 gallon versus Ferrell which is $45.00 for either size. Please let me know by return email which supplier you would prefer. jimsteenson@yahoo.com Thanks, Jim Steenson 295-5520 SIR’S PROPANE COOPERATIVE BIDS BY COMPANIES THAT RESPONDED Price per Gallon - Company Includes Rack + Margin & Transport Tank Rental/SwapOut - Gas Inspection/Relights 1) FerrellGas $1.32.5 per gallon 2) Kamps $1.36.5 per gallon Tank Rental/SwapOut Tank Rental/SwapOut 1st Year Free, $45 annual $66 for 250 Gal Tank For 250 or 500 Gal tank $90 for 500 Gal Tank Gas Inspection/Relights Gas Inspection/Relights Yes/NC Yes/NC
