Amador County Branch 96 -- Jackson, California "An Organization Promoting the Independence and Dignity of Retirement"

Amador Branch 96 was founded by Dan Rothenbush. He organized the Branch on August 6, 1981 and with help of 25 friends got it officially chartered with the state Sons In Retirement on April 20, 1982. Dan was the Big Sir for the first two years, 1981 and 1982. In 1994 Dan received a Certificate for Honorary Lifetime Membership for his leadership and continued support. Honorary Life Member AwardsDavid Reiser, State SIR President awarded Ken Edwards and Bill Garrett with their Honorary Life Member certificates. Norman Whitsed, Area 27 Governor also assisted. Adding to the important presentation and making a surprise visit were Marilyn Edwards and Phyllis Garrett, who pinned the special Honorary Life Member name badges on their husbands.
